Elena Pravettoni and Roy Keefe Martin were married June 2 at the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio in Milan, Italy. Msgr. Biagio Pizzi performed the ceremony, with Msgr. Phelim Rowland taking part.
The bride, 26, and groom, 30, met on the Bologna, Italy, campus of Johns Hopkins University, from which they each earned a master’s degree in advanced international studies.
The bride graduated from King’s College London with first class honors. She is a daughter of Paola Longobardi and Alberto Pravettoni of London.
The bride’s father was a managing director at Goldman Sachs in New York and London. He is one of the founders of the Italian School in London. Her mother is the chairwoman of London International Gallery of Children’s Art, a nonprofit organization in London that promotes international education and understanding through children’s art.
