Alexis Morgan Cronin and Dr. Alexander John Butler were married June 2 in Southampton, N.Y. The Rev. Michael Vetrano, a Roman Catholic priest, performed the ceremony at the Basilica of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
The bride, 28, and the groom, 27, met at Georgetown, from which they each graduated, he cum laude, and where he earned a medical degree.
Later this month, Mrs. Butler is to begin work in Miami as the director of Florida at Bonham’s Auction House. Until April, she was a project manager and executive assistant to the president of the specialist art departments at Christie’s Auction House in New York. She received a master’s degree in art business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York.
She is a daughter of Alanna G. Cronin and Timothy E. Cronin of New York. The bride’s father works in London as the president and chief executive of Jefferies International, the investment bank.
